Web design can be considered an art form, especially in the viral world. Knowing where to place this graphic, what typeface to use here, and what color to put there is almost artistic.

Simple colors are the best colors for web design. Just like painting the walls in your home, the colors need to work with each other, not work against each other. For example, having a red background page and blue font is a horrible web design idea. Reading the red font on the blue background is difficult. Unless there will be no reason why a site visitor would want to print your page, it should never be designed this way. Printing a webpage with white font and a colored background is either going to be impossible, hard to read, or use a lot of the site visitor’s printer ink. The above examples are bad for your site visitor and may aggravate them to the point that they would rather not use the information on your page and may move on to the next one.
