You have decided to do your own web design. You may believe that doing the web design yourself will be more cost effective. This may be true, but having the wrong web design can really hurt your bottom line. A poorly designed website can send the message to site visitors that your site is unprofessional, thus meaning your business is not professional. A web design rule is to keep the resolution viewable at 800 x 600. Most all computers are preset to this resolution and have become more of the universal web page resolution to have. You can also design your site at 1024 x 768. Choosing one of these two screen resolutions will mean you will at least please 50% of your site visitors.
