Step by Step Web Designing
An artist by heart is going to be the best candidate for web designing. But that alone may not be enough. Being analytic, an eye for details, thorough and sensitive added with technical skills in using internet languages will be best. This is so because a web design needs to be conceptualized, planned, modeled, and executed very accurately. In the process, you might want to hasten the steps by listing it this way:
Choose a topic or subject for the web site or page you want to design. The topic or subject of a web page or site you are planning to design is the core of it. The web page or site will appear on the screen in the way you designed it to appear. Therefore, you have to ensure that you know the details of the project before going starting to conceptualize the design.
Decide on the style you want: liquid or fixed-width designing? Now that you are through with the details, topic, and subject of the page you are about to design, your major concern now is how to make the design appear relevant to the subject or topic. Crucial to this is the style of design you use. Using a fixed-width design will give you a total control on the site or page. The liquid design, on the other hand, is more of a user-friendly. Changing size, fonts, and other attributes according to the browser of the user; thereby giving them the freedom to use their own control over your web designed web site or page.
Look for relevant contents. Upon deciding the way you want the web site or page to appear on the user’s screen, you have to look for relevant contents for it. This will be in the form of text, forms, and bit-mapped images. Graphics Interchange Format (GIF), Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG), and Portable Network Graphics (PNG) are just some of the most common bit-mapped images used in a web design that will need no further plug-ins or tools. Vectors, graphics, animations, videos and sounds will also do well for the overall appearance and usefulness of the web site or page.
