In presenting the scenario, the web designer sets out to interpret the dialogue between the user persona and the site persona. The conversation is then converted into visual elements that are ultimately plotted on paper or any other appropriate visual elements such as computer screen.

The sketch may feature stars that plot the user’s arrival at the functional site which later on serve as entry points. The sketch may also be composed of circles that display actions, specific views or places that are destined to serve as pages. The use of arrows in sketches is important as it out lines how users can navigate through a site as they seek to perform different functions. Finally, a designer may use sketches to determine the reasoning of a user persona as they move through the sites during a web site visit.
