Other pages can assume different names all at the owner’s discretion. The general guideline when naming pages is to observe a number of simple rules. One should for instance avoid the use of special characters especially alphanumeric such as @, # among others. Similarly the web page names must be kept short while their names must end with .htm. This is necessary for keeping them simple and easily identifiable to users.

Web designers also have the freedom to write a HTML program in other means rather than a HTML editor. One could opt to use Word Pad or any other simple text editor. This should only happen if one feels brave enough regarding their web page construction knowledge.
