Has Your Real Estate Website Design Become Outdated?

Framed websites used to be the standard for any realtor.   Now framed websites are not only outdated, but are often avoided by most online visitors.  They are also the worst possible website design for search engine optimization tactics, which has become critical to success.  Granted, if they are done correctly, they can look good but that is as far as it gets.

The reason for this is that a framed website actually consists of multiple pages all jammed together.  The first frame is usually on the left hand margin and contains links in a grocery list style that both buyers and sellers can click on.

Then you will see content in the middle or main part of the page, which is frame B.  This is the information frame which is where the real content of your site is.  You also probably have at least one more frame (frame C) which is the banner frame.  It is usually at the top and has your logo and a great picture.  On top of all of this, there is yet another frame (frame D) which is the frame that has the actual coding which ties all of these frames in the correct place.

Some of the most popular real estate website still use frames, however they are popular simply because they have been online for such a long time.  However, duplicate content and poor coding will lead to more unhappy visitors that will not return.

Todays standard website is tailored around CSS coding which leads to happier more satisfied visitors and much more happy search engines.  This leads to higher search engine rankings which will directly increase the amount of visitors that are sent to your website on a daily basis.  This also minimizes that chance of duplicate content being posted and creates a much more successful website for any real estate agent over the long term.
