You will be just like any other web designer. This might be detrimental to your attempt to beat the stiff competition in the market, something every ambitious designer wants to achieve.

Actually, the main reason why people do use templates is to save effort and time. This is because templates will enable one to only change the title and the necessary details and one is good to go. Some very notable mistake web developers do make is to customize the template to a point that it can no longer be recognized. While this may bring out the aspect of graphical uniqueness in that your work will be very different, but does this adhere to the principle of saving time and energy? Well, I don’t know what you think about this but I do maintain it does not. Time not forgetting effort, are important factors in web design, the less you use the better.

However, on the other hand if one purchases a template that suits him but needs to be altered to rhyme with his site’s theme, then it is appropriate to invest some time so he can make the necessary amendments. Take an example, one has a web site advertising academic affairs then he finds a nice template which suits this particular web site of his except that the designer has put images of soccer fans in the header. He can find images of students carrying books or a lecturer having a chat with students in a classroom to replace the soccer fans for his academic site. However, one should take care not to redesign the whole thing thus waste a lot of time and energy.

In other circumstances, people do simply make wrong choices of the templates they want or put more precisely, need. As much as this issue is subjective, one must be careful when selecting templates for his site, they should suit his audience. He should not make a mistake of choosing a template because of how pretty it is or for any other reason. A template should be chosen on how suitable it is to serve his purpose.
