Blogging: Your Design, Your Personality
During these times when the whole world is being connected as one by the Internet, everyone wants to have a space he can call his own in the World Wide Web. It cannot be denied that blogs are now hooking everyone, young or old, as they are a perfect medium to express oneself.
Blogs are really a personal space in such a way that anyone can just log in to a blog site or he can get his own domain name from an independent domain provider and he can already design it the way he wants it. After that, he can already post blogs, pictures, and videos anytime he wants.
And since blogs are considered personal, they must have a personal touch of the blogger. Anyone can customize his blog site. Although there are already customized profiles and layouts made available for the blogger to choose from in most of the blog sites, those who have their own websites can design their own with the use of HTML codes or other web design software.
Now, the question is what are the things to be considered when designing a blog? Well, a blog is a reflection of oneself, and therefore, the design must reflect one’s personality. If you are the silent type, then you can use conservative colors such as white and black. If you are the happy and loud type, you can use bright and loud colors such as yellow, orange, and red.
The layout can also reflect the personality of the blogger. If you are the organized one, you will prefer the organized layout, the one which has columns for every category. However, if you are the playful type, you will choose the scattered layout. There are customized layouts already available if you do not want to organize it yourself.
The background of a blog can also be chosen by the blogger. While there are many available profile layouts with backgrounds that are provided already by the blog site, you can also put your own background in your blog. If you want to make it really personal, you can put your photo as your background. If you choose do it yourself, you can use editing software such as the Photoshop to create your personalized profile background.
Designing your blog is necessary because it also attracts visitors and readers. Remember that you are promoting yourself, expressing what you want and think of as of the present moment. Therefore, for people to really know who you are in real life, the design of your blog itself must reflect your personality. And you can maximize the designs available in the Internet for blogs so that you will package yourself complete even with just a simple blog.
