Colors are one of the best tools that help in making your website attractive. However, proper use of color is needed in web designing. Loud colors can be painful for the eyes and uneven color schemes are actually repulsive.
So how do you add colors to your website? Here are the ways:
1. Named Colors. It is considered as one of the easiest ways in adding color.
2. Hexadecimal colors. Since some browsers do not make use or recognize named colors, Hexadecimal colors can be utilized. These are groups of 3 hexadecimal numbers or base 16. The fist group is red, the next is green and the last is blue. Through hues, other color schemes can be made. For example, red is ff0000.
3. Colored documents. For coloring your documents, CSS is used. It is simple to use. Usually, the <style> feature is used. You would need to make use of the span tag for this. Here is an example:

You can also put color in your tables by adding a background. Even the whole body of your document can be enhanced with color. You would have to input it like this:
<body style=”background-color: #0000cc;”>
Changing font colors or highlighting texts can also be done through CSS. Just type
<span style=”color : #0000ff”>change the font color</span>
for font color. For the highlight of text or background color of texts, the code should be like the following:
<span style=”background-color : #ccccff”>change the background color</span>.
Adding colors can beautify your website. Just make sure that the colors that you add are pleasing to look at and wouldn’t hurt the eyes of those viewing your website. With appropriate use, colors can make your website glamorous.
